Assalamualaikum. :) it's been a while since I last updated this blog. very busy with all those school stuffs, but for sure we always be busy with our responsibility to The Almighty.

yesterday, 5th December, i went to London, had intended to stay overnight at Aunt's place. Filling up my stomach with well-cooked spaghetti by friends (really it's delicious!), I went to train station at about 2 pm. When I entered my train, I was taken aback to know that it's almost empty. The area where I sat, just for the few destination, I was the ONLY one who occupied it. interesting.. but my first entrance to the first area really ...disgusting. i mean the smell. never sniff that kind of smell before. then I moved to the next area. I re-read my book magnificently I understand quickly about the Entropy and Second Law of Thermodynamics.

this was my first time staying at Aunt's new house. somehow, i kept 'revising' for my interview and adding new materials to tell and share during the interview. anyhow, the house's really comfy and i had a nice sleep though. :) on 6th December then, we're going to York because I have an interview! university interview. 4 hours journey, you know how that feel. that's why I want to go with my aunt so that i'll never feel bored along the journey.

9 am. 1 pm. we arrived at the information centre and Thank God I managed to get there (Chemistry Department) before it actually to be started! 'Nur?' 'yes, I am.' 'you're on time. I'm John. Nice to meet you. The activities will be started in a few minutes so please do come in.' ohh, what a warm welcome in this cold weather. when I came in, there's already many other students with their parents waiting for me, jokes, :p for the activites. it all started with the presentation delivered by Dr Andrew Parsons. He's really friendly and funny! I like him. :D with all the intonation that he used made the atmosphere really existing. the activities continued with Interview, lucky to be interviewed by Dr John Moore, who specialized in Physical Chemistry and laser is one of his researches. I talked with him really well although I felt nervous at the first time. I managed to spend half an hour discussing and questioning out my queries anything about chemistry and york.

14:35 campus tour and department tour at 15:05. it's really cold out there and slippery path. when we went back to Chemistry Hub again (time for back!), we were assigned to design the compound of (i dont actually remembered what we're told to construct) by using the model. i was given the box and a guy from my group took the box. then we sat ready to work out the model. he prepared his table and eventually he did for me too..! i was surprised. hehe. :) how sweet~ :p so we started to create it and he actually did most of it. i aided him in between. then he began to ask me, 'so, what other uni did u apply for?' 'bristol, imperial, soton & liverpool. how about u?' 'sussex, new castle, liverpool & (i can't remember..!) 'so, did you get any offer yet?' 'yeah, liverpool, offering ABB, i think.' i just nodded and obstructed by the talk given in front. when we're given the feedback form and put it in the box, I asked him 'you're doing A level? what other subjects do you do?' 'history and biology' 'and chemistry' 'yeahh' for sure lah, i asked for OTHER subjects.. 4 pm and called a day.. :)

intended to go to the city centre but it almost dark. my aunt said that maybe another day. hopefully! so we went straight to oxford and i reached home at 8 pm. what a long day! really tired and enjoyed the day indeed.

by the way, Happy Hijrah New Year 1432. may Allah bless our new whole journey and gives us strength in fulfilling our new determination. amin.

The Last Song

Today, i went to the Odeon Cinema with Hanina to watch the movie that i'd waited for a long time. well, not really that long. it's just, it's the first Miley Cyrus movie! (L) really i am a 'miley maniac'!!

i actually did some reading of the novel, only a few pages. but still, my hands keep running through the next and advance pages. I think this is my first novel that i read (that come out at screen). fist few scenes of the movie really made me eager to know the next sequences. the part that really touched my heart was when Jonah(her brother) struggling to finish up the centrepieces of their father's work. tears did roll down my cheek then. :'/

the film ended at 5.10 pm. 'when i look at you' closed the curtain. then, window shopping... yaaaay! :D another school break tomorrow, may day bank holiday.

Tragedy 18th Feb 10

Salam. It’s been a while I didn’t update my blog. Busy, though but sometimes lupa kan update, even if I have the free time. Somehow, it’s February now and time has passed by so quickly. Nda terasa aa.. I wanna share a story yg benar2 masih menghantuiku.. Well, experience pertamaku in addition di negeri orang ane. It was on 18th February when we were planning to go the museum to check out apa2 yg new di sana.. We went to the South Kensington by using the underground train. In spite of the pouring rain, kami meneruskan our journey. When we reached there, something unexpected had happened. Orang ramai! Penuh! Congestion! Even rah counter ticket tu penuh orang. Gates pun dibuka so people just can passed through them. Usually untuk ke museum tu, kami pakai subway, then the subway ditutup cause it was totally congested! Ramai benar org.. hehehe, org kn ke museum jua..cause I saw many children accompanied by their parents walking through the crowds.

Reaching the main entrance of the South Kensington station, dripping rains membasahi kotku. After several minutes ‘menentang setiap halangan’, the museums appeared in front of me. Wow! I’ve been here before; the Science Museum, & the National History Museum is the one that we supposed to visit..gpun ku alum abis melawat when I was with my aunt during the winter break last December. I was taken aback when I saw there was a long queue in front of the National History Museum. My God! Eh, My Allah! (my aunt said that if I say the first one, sama macam ‘my goat’…hehehe ) hati ku berkecai, well not really berkecai. Hujan lagi menemani kami. Bukan rezeki kami.. what about the Science museum, it’s just the next door?? I suggested. When we took several steps forward, something same had happened. Another long queue; beautiful line of umbrellas menyamankan hatiku. We cancelled our plan, so we turned back. We planned to go back straight to Brunei Hall. Dipendekkan cerita, my friend asked me, why don’t we go Bayswater, to buy my ‘dream’ boots? I just nodded and felt little bit worried jua di hati. Tak tahu lah kenapa..

Ku alum berapa hafal kedai2 rh Bayswater ne, so my friends yg ‘memimpin’ ku. I saw ‘Office London’ and we entered it. My eyes searching for the pink shoes and it was at the corner of the shop. Ku cek saiznya, harganya just to make sure n I brought 2 of them ke kerusi tuk mencuba. When ku kan mencuba tiba2 terlintas di fikiranku, kulit apa kan ne? eh, boleh jadi kulit…….. I jumped from the seat and ran towards my friend. ‘Ly, kulit apakn ne?’ ‘if titik tiga, kulit the binatang atu lah tu’. well nda g ku meliat banar2, trus ku nyimpan. Ku takut. Ku kejar2. Terus kami keluar dari kedai. I was still with my fingers being apart from each other, with my oyster card between my fingers on my right hand. Ya Allah~~

Dipendekkan cerita, we rushed to one of the teachers in the Brunei Hall and explained what had happened. She suggested me to meet the ustaz. Ya Allah~ masih na nyaman hatiku ane.. sesampai rh bilik ‘amil, we sat down and told him. He just, ‘ohh..don’t worry. Pakai sabun ane, dalamnya ada mcm tanah liat, so cuci tangan beberapa kali n pakai sabun ane, u know cemana kn.’ Barutah nyaman hatiku, terlalu risau ku tu. Manakan, first time.. sesampai di bilik, I started my work and after several minutes, aku suci. Alhamdulillah. Insya Allah. Ya Allah~~
No wonder, hari pertama ku saw the boots, ku ‘terpikat’. But malamnya aku mimpi aku cuba the boots and totally nda muat arah kakiku. Mungkin itulah petunjuk untukku. Ya Allah~~

Hehehe, pnjg ceritaku atu. Well, that’s it for now. Malam2ku di Brunei Hall juga tenang cause ikut berdikir arah surau. Allah~ Allahumma solli ‘ala sayidina Muhammad..

My first night I prayed berjemaah di surau, when the imam recited Al Fatihah, my tears rolling down my face. Ya Allah~ aku rindu suasana berjemaah, suasana saat Al Fatihah dialunkan dengan tajwid dan suara yg merdu.. I missed one night of the dikir cause I don’t know that it’s going to be held. P alhamdulillah ku dapat ikut serta malam2 seterusnya. Ku rindu Brunei, my hometown. :’/ Alhamdulillah ada kesempatan lagi untuk bersembahyang berjemaah n sama2 memperingati hari kelahiran Nabi kita. In addition, telkung ku bertambah harum dgn wangian yg diberi. :)
